The 2017 Nebraska High School State Journalism Championships will be returning to Norfolk for the third consecutive year, according to Mike Fuehrer, Sports Development Manager for the Norfolk Area Sports Council (NASC).
The NASC and Northeast Community College have partnered to host the past two state championships, utilizing the college’s Lifelong Learning Center. The two entities learned Thursday that the Nebraska School Activities Association awarded the community of Norfolk the one-year extension.
